Can I use the photo I bought in an Ad?

All my photos are copyrighted and therefore the property of Karen Hocker Photography. It is illegal to use them in any manner without my explicit permission. When you purchase a photo from me, you are purchasing a product, not the rights to use that photo.

If you are interested in using one of my photos commercially — for instance, in an ad — the purchase of an 8×10 or an additional fee may be required to secure the commercial use rights. You may also prefer using my ad design services to get a package deal.

If you are interested in using one of my photos editorially — for instance, in an article for your breed magazine — please contact me. In most cases, I can submit the image directly to the editor of the publication.
