Congrats to the NE competitors at the AKC Invitational, especially Paulette and Rush, Louise and Poet, and Elaine and Soleil — each among the top ten in their classes!

Congratulations to all the folks from New England who competed this weekend at the AKC Invitational in California! We’re so excited for all of you.

Among the top ten finalists in various classes were:

• Paulette Swartzendruber and Rush (Shetland Sheepdog, 16″ class)
  Paulette and Rush had 4 clean runs, taking three firsts and 1 third place in the first 4 rounds, but unfortunately did not run clean in the Finals, coming in 8th.
• Louise Hoelscher and Poet (Whippet, 20″ class)
  Louise and Poet had four clean runs leading up to the Finals, but did not run clean and took 9th place in the finals.
• Elaine Giannelli and Soleil (Beauceron, 24″ class)
  Elaine and Soleil had 4 clean runs, taking 4th place in round 2. They also ran clean in the Finals and took 4th. Only four tenths of a second separated Soleil and the first place dog in the Finals.

Good luck to Amy, Jake, Molly, Soleil, Spree, Ghillie, Callie, Bailey, Rush, Daisy, Triton, Stanley, Zuma, Woodstock, Lucy, Poet, Panther and Beamer at the AKC Invitationals this weekend!

Congratulations to Patti and her Shetland Sheepdog on finishing their MACH this past weekend at the Old Colony Agility Club’s Agility Trial in Topsfield, Massachusetts.

The 2009 calendars are now available in the Karen Hocker Photography & Design Studio store.
